Our company has practiced within the commercial vehicle industry for three generations and understands the importance of roadside assistance when those problematic breakdowns occur! That's why we provide a 24hr call-out service to all our account customers.

Our vans are equipped to help get you and your vehicle moving again, and reduce any downtime costs. From jump starts to brake chambers, we can help. A breakdown recovery service is also available.

Our Maintenance and Repair service is operated by a team of knowledgeable technicians with a large range of experience.

Maintenance

We are equipped to maintain vans, 4x4s, Light & heavy commercial vehicles with standard and specialist trailers or ancillary equipment.

Our on-site Fabrication Workshop and extensive experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, electric controls, tail lifts, refrigerated bodies and bulkers, make it possible for us to repair or manufacture new parts that may be difficult or costly to obtain.

Repair

Plowman Brothers Ltd is unique in many ways, but by having both a Service and Fabrication Workshop on site we can give your vehicle a full restoration in one trip!

We undertake modifications and repairs to existing containers and trailers, irrespective of the manufacturer; ranging from simple running repairs, through to accident repairs and chassis running gear replacement.

Here at Plowman’s in York we have facilities on site to undertake the necessary repairs after an accident. Our Service and Fabrication workshop carries out repairs and modifications to existing containers and trailers such as Houghton Parkhouse, Pezzaioli and Michieletto; but also horse boxes, bulker and tipper bodies, waste recycling plant, tankers and other commercial equipment.

Our experience in manufacturing livestock containers not only enables us to restore any trailer as efficiently as possible but also offer a replacement trailer whilst yours is being repaired.
