Engineering Stores Person

Key Responsibilities include;  

– Handling of all goods in and out for our engineering departments on site

– Checking items and storing in correct areas/maintaining accurate records/housekeeping in storage areas

– Maintaining stock levels and looking for usage trends, working with buying department

– Loading and unloading vehicles using counterbalance forklift

– Carry out regular stock takes

Applicants must be motivated, well organised and competent with the use of IT. Good interpersonal skills are also essential as you will be dealing with customers and staff on a daily basis.

Contracted to 40 hours per week with a salary dependant on experience, Monday to Friday 7:30am – 4:30pm with one hour for lunch.

 

Commercial Vehicle Prep/ Paint Sprayer

Working with a team of Prep and painters the role involves work on commercial trailers, both new and refurbished, using the best quality paints to produce a finish of the highest standard

Previous commercial vehicle experience is preferred but applicants from a car or industrial paint background will be considered.

 

Commercial Vehicle Auto Electrician

Key Responsibilities. 

  • Assembly and installation of wiring looms on new trailers and platform bodies.
  • Fault diagnostics and repairs on used equipment.
  • Assembly of control panels and components for looms.

Applicants should have previous experience working as an auto electrician, full training will be provided on our systems. However similar individuals with good electrical knowledge from other areas will be considered.

Electrical qualifications would be beneficial please show evidence on CV.

Contracted to 40 hours per week with hourly rate dependant on experience, Monday to Friday 7.30am – 4.30pm with one hour for lunch. Additional hours available.

 

CNC Press Brake Operator

We require an experienced CNC machine operator to run an Amada Press Brake.

Previous experience working with Press Brakes is preferred although operators with similar CNC background will be considered.

  • Forklift driving experience is essential.
  • Other duties include loading/ unloading vehicles in the yard.
  • With the option to provide holiday cover on CNC Plasma Profiling equipment.

We offer a competitive rate of pay £11 – £12 per hour, contracted to 40 hours per week with additional hours available.

 

Design Engineer

Working with a wide range of in-house experts you will be designing and developing in-house products and components, or interpreting clients’ drawings into suitable manufacturing drawings, then overseeing the product through the fabrication process.

You will be involved in all aspects of projects, from the initial concept right through to the delivery of a finished product to the customer, then beyond this to after sales care giving valuable insight into the performance of a product leading to further development.

 

Graduate Design Engineer

Working with a wide range of in-house experts you will be designing and developing in-house products and components, or interpreting clients’ drawings into suitable manufacturing drawings, then overseeing the product through the fabrication process.

We are keen to offer you the opportunity to develop your individual interests and specialisms, and from the beginning you will be encouraged to contribute your own ideas and solutions to the broad variety of projects you can expect to encounter working with Plowman Brothers Ltd.

 

Hydraulic Fitter  

We require a Hydraulic fitter to support an existing team installing new and repairing hydraulic systems mainly on commercial vehicles and associated equipment.

Previous experience working in a similar role is preferred although newly qualified fitters would be considered.

 

Apprentice Design Engineer

While working towards your technical qualification your aim is to enhance practical skills and knowledge through on the job training in a commercial production environment.

You will be given on the job training to develop your CAD skills using AutoCAD 2D with the option to train in SolidWorks 3D once established. We are keen to offer you the opportunity to develop your individual interests and specialisms, and from the beginning you will be encouraged to contribute your own ideas and solutions to the broad variety of projects you can expect to encounter working with Plowman Brothers Ltd.

 

Apprentice Mechanical Engineer

You will work alongside skilled engineers to gain an understanding of the processes, plant and equipment used across our manufacturing facility. You will be expected to be self-motivated and put yourself forward for new challenges within the workplace in order to fast track your career with the company.

Training will be provided in any area you wish to pursue, anything from welding & fabrication to operating a CNC lathe in the machine shop.
